How the dream of TallPine came true...

When Novella left us, Tall Pine had been born already.
He had been living inside me for a long time and he was determined to push his
way out like a baby in his mother’s womb. He wanted to come out for the sake of my happiness and that of my partner’s.
So we decided to let him find his own way, giving him an important role
in our daily life.

“What should we call him?”

We found a hint in our books. Browsing through old volumes of American railroads, and particularly those with panoramic views of woods and romantic trains carrying huge logs to the sawmills, we noticed the superb height of thousands of ancient
pine trees, a little ruffled but as elegant as if they had come from a fairy tale.
I made some of them out of round wooden sticks, iron wire and some foliage.
I made them more than one foot high, some of them even taller…
One, in particular, caught our attention because of its height and gave the name
to the layout we were about to build.

So he was called: “Tall Pine”.
